Agile Project Management – Case Study

CHALLENGES

Green Light was approached by an international partner seeking assistance with a software development and deployment project which defined, developed and deployed a series of automations that simulate the actions of NBN Network Engineers. The automations were defined and delivered in small iterative software packages.

There were many stakeholders involved and sponsoring the project due to the nature of the project and the government backing of the organisation, meaning open communication was fundamental of the internal stakeholder management. There were high levels of risk surrounding the integration, Green Light utilised its knowledge of compliance, risk management and ITILv3 framework to ensure a successful project.

SOLUTION

Green Light provided a managed framework and played a consultancy and advisory role for the client, advising of the best practices and processes of the implementation. The team designed, configured, customised, installed and tested the final tool.

Additionally, Green Light onboarded 9 experienced Java full stack developers in order to improve the weekly deployment cadence from quarterly to weekly. This increase in the number of developers allowed the team to complete tasks more quickly and efficiently, resulting in a quicker turnaround time for deployments.

BENEFITS
